Do you travel outside of Townsville?
Yes. I love working with people from all over Queensland, especially remote and regional towns. I travel interstate as well. I have a lot of experience in online meetings to get around any COVID restrictions! Please get in touch and I'll be happy to discuss.
How much do you charge?
I charge an hourly rate for a set number of hours that is agreed with you at the start of the job. Contact me for a no-obligation quote.
What does measuring impact and program evaluation mean?
Measuring impact is about understanding what difference your work is actually making. We can do this using a process called program evaluation. Using evaluation, we measure the success of a project or a program. You decide what success looks like, or what difference you want to make. You develop goals and come up with indicators to measure your progress. Then you set up systems to collect information so you can track your progress against the goals you set at the start. You regularly review how you're going, and report on your progress to people who need to know, e.g. your clients, your funding body, your Board of Management.
What exactly do you do as a meeting facilitator?
My job as a facilitator is to help your group achieve its purpose. Whether it's getting everyone's input, making a decision, or developing a strategic plan, I'll work with you to design a meeting process that's focused on getting exactly what you want out of the meeting. I'll keep the discussion on track, make sure everyone has their say, and write up the outcomes for you afterwards if you like. I'm experienced in facilitating online meetings, in-person meetings and combinations of both!
When is your next training course in grant writing?
We offer a self-paced online course in grant writing, or you can follow me on LinkedIn or send me an email and I'll let you know when the next grant writing course is on. I can also deliver training at your workplace or wherever you like.
What qualifications do you have?
I have an Advanced Diploma in Group Facilitation, which is rare in North Queensland. My university degree was a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Environmental Studies. I have an internationally-recognised Certificate of Community Engagement from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). I have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and I've studied financial management at the Advanced Diploma level. I'm a member of several professional associations.
Are you Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander?
My heritage is Fijian Indian.
