About Renée

Renée Madsen
Principal Consultant
Renée founded Create & Evaluate in 2018 with a vision to serve the business, government and not-for-profit communities with effective meeting facilitation, practical impact measurement and simplified grant writing courses. Based in Townsville, Renée has 20 years experience in program evaluation, performance audit and stakeholder engagement, with extensive experience in the not-for-profit and government sectors. She’s an expert at making complex processes simple, using a practical approach and warm, clear communication that brings out the best in people, no matter their role or background. Renée is a well-known facilitator and sought-after guest speaker across multiple fields including agriculture, natural resources, environment, large infrastructure, defence, community services, small business and volunteering. Her skills are backed by high level qualifications, including an Advanced Diploma of Group Facilitation – Australia’s highest accredited qualification in this field – and an internationally-recognised Certificate in Community Engagement. Renée's Bachelor degree was in Environmental Studies from James Cook University. She is also a Certificate IV qualified trainer.
Renée is a proud born and bred North Queenslander who knows the region, the industries, the people and the culture.
